E’ stata l’enfant prodige del cinema con l’esordio nel film “Léon” di Luc Besson ed ora è la migliore attrice del mondo. E’ Natalie Portman che conquista l’Oscar nella categoria “Best Actress” con l’ interpretazione di Nina in “Black Swan”, “Il Cigno Nero”.

Il film, diretto da Darren Aronofsky, racconta la storia di Nina, ballerina professionista che si sente minacciata dalla spietata rivalità della più giovane Lily (Mila Kunis). L’ossessione si spinge ad un punto tale che la sua identità comincia a confondersi totalmente con quella dell’altra ballerina. Un viaggio intimistico ed un’intensa indagine psicologica è Black Swan: così, la Portman riesce a rivelare ogni minima sfumatura dell’anima e dello sconvolgimento emotivo di Nina che porterà la sua personalità più pura, metafora del cigno bianco, a soccombere di fronte a quella più nascosta ed oscura, il cigno nero.

Un’interpretazione profonda e coinvolgente che ha visto l’attrice dover intraprendere un percorso non solo interiore ma anche fisico: più di 6 mesi di preparazione, ore e ore di balletto e quasi 10 kg persi per entrare nel personaggio voluto da Darren Aronofsky. Perfezione, sensualità, passione, danza e musica vivono ne’ “Il cigno nero” che permette aNatalie Portman di ricevere il riconoscimento più illustre di sempre nella recitazione. A soli 30 anni, riesce a superare star hollywoodiane del calibro di Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams e Jennifer Lawrence. Nel momento della consegna dell’ambito riconoscimento, Natalie è splendida nel suo lungo abito viola scuro di Rodarte che copre il pancione e la dedica di questo successo è per il marito Benjamin Millepied: “Mi ha dedicato il ruolo più importante, quello di mamma”.

Black Swan is Darren Aronofsky’s film dedicated to dance. The film follows the story of Nina (Portman), a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her retired ballerina mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) who zealously supports her daughter’s professional ambition. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.

Natalie's performance is moving but hard too: 6 months of preparation, hours and hours of ballet and 10 kg lost for the interpretation of Nina. So Natalie Portman wins the Oscar, the most important award for the actors, and she can beat competition like Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams e Jennifer Lawrence.
